Am I Eligible for the Student Health Insurance Plan?

All eligible international students with F-1 or J-1 visas, College of Graduate Studies supported students, College of Medicine students and individuals on Optional Practical Training are eligible to enroll in this insurance plan at registration, subject to the insurance requirements as outlined by the University. Credit hour requirement can be met by a combination of online and on campus credit hours, not to exceed 50% online.
*ATTENTION INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS – if you are paying for your own health insurance coverage, check your email to find the proof of payment letter. You will need to download this or take a screenshot of it and submit to UCF atstudenthealth.ucf.edu/payments/intlto get your hold cleared.

Enrollment must be within 31 days of the qualifying event. Newborn enrollment must be within 60 days after birth. You may be requested to provide documentation verifying the date of the qualifying event (e.g. birth certificate, marriage license, I-94 travel history, boarding pass, letter showing a loss of coverage). Coverage will be effective beginning the first day following your loss of coverage.
